I am a fellowship trained hand and upper extremity surgeon and a former US Navy trauma and general surgeon.  I have enjoyed medical-legal consulting over the last 5 years and I especially enjoy the dialogue necessary to clarify a difficult case.   In my career, I have experience with severe burns, infections, blunt and penetrating trauma to the hand and upper extremity. Likewise, I have treated hand fractures, nerve and vessel injuries, traumatic amputations, carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, and congenital hand problems.   I am routinely asked to review medical records regarding hand and wrist injuries due to work related accidents and automobile accidents. I am licensed in Arizona, North Carolina and Florida.

I am an affiliate professor of Surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and Creighton School of Medicine. I am a professor of surgery at the University of Central Florida. I have operated in over 50 short term medical missions in 18 developing countries over the last 35 years.  I am Chairman of the General Surgery/Hand Surgery continuing certification committee for the American Board of Surgery.  Please email me if you think I can help.
